We would like to inform all of our guests and potential guests that Umkomaas Beach is not contaminated and is certainly not closed.
Guests and potential holidaymakers can enjoy all normal activities on Umkomaas Beach such as body boarding, surfing, etc.
Clint and I felt the need to inform all of our guests as this type of media announcement can scare off potential guests and holidaymakers into canceling their reservations. There is certainly no need to do this. How do we know that Umkomaas Beach is not contaminated? We have a professional and independent company that does testing on a weekly basis. In addition, and even prior to COVID-19, we have stringent health and hygiene protocols in place throughout the lodge to ensure that the risk of any contamination e.Coli or other, is dealt with in the proper manner. Our staff are well trained and versed in infection control. Hands, dishes, and all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned throughout the day.
