Lately, I've been thinking about what Clint (my husband, partner, and best friend) and I have accomplished on our entrepreneurial journey of becoming the proud owners of Timeless Lodge – Bed and Breakfast, located in Umkomaas, Durban. The fact that our journey has been tough and we've made some mistakes along the way is something I truly appreciate and admire about our success. We have also learned a lot. As a child, I grew up wanting to be an air hostess, instead, I find myself working in hospitality which must be one of the hardest industries to work in now. We love it.
What makes us the happiest about owning this beautiful holiday vacation venue is seeing how happy our guests are and how much they love being here. This is what makes all the hard work worthwhile. Running a bed and breakfast is a job that stretches way beyond the normal 40-hour work week, so you really have to love what you do. As the owners, you’re responsible for everything.
